I love writing stories for children.

My goal is to write inclusive, empowering stories that appeal to all children, but particularly to reluctant readers. I regularly lead literacy and storytelling sessions in schools and libraries. Every time I do, I learn more about how children approach reading and process stories.
I’d like to say I have lots of hobbies, but the truth is I don’t. Life is really just a rude interruption to thinking about, reading or writing stories.
Before writing took over my life, I was an editor, copywriter and marketeer. All of which gave me lots of opportunity to work with words.
I am delighted to work as a reading helper for Coram Beanstalk. I am a volunteer for the new London and South East SCBWI region and also a member of the National Association of Writers in Education.
